We actually met on a blind date that a mutual friend of ours set up. Neither one of us really wanted to go but our friend insisted.

She asked me if she could give him my phone number and I reluctantly agreed, thinking that he would never call anyway. Well I was wrong, he did call, we talked for a little while, and decided that we should go on a date. I didn't like the idea of a blind date so I suggested that we go on a double date with our mutual friend. We did and had a good time. He asked if he could call me again and I said yes. So we began dating once a week, because that was all the time we had available. After a year of dating we decided to get married (so we would hopefully see more of each other). We set a date almost exactly one year to the day we decided to get married and September 27, 2003 we said our vows in front of close friends and family in a beautiful southern mansion.

Believe it or not we actually met at a red light. Yes, it must have been destiny, but it felt kind of crazy at the time. I was driving home after a long day at work. I was tired and was looking forward to a quiet evening at home,when I spotted this really good looking guy in a red convertible in my rear view mirror. He passed me on the left and then it happened the traffic light turned red. There we sat side by side I told myself not to look but I could feel him looking at me. He smiled and signaled for me to roll down my window and he ask me if I would like to go to the local coffee shop to get a coffee with him. I thought that sounded safe enough so I agreed and followed him up the street to a local hangout. There we talked over coffee and agreed to meet there the same time the next day. We did this for about a week before he had the courage to ask for my phone number. We then started going out on real dates and six months later he proposed. He said that he knew the minute he saw me that I was the one. Some say it was love at first sight. I say "don't you mean love at red light".
